Whatever you've been through — career change, wedding planning, moving abroad, starting a business, learning a craft — someone is figuring it out for the first time and would pay to talk to you.

  • You don't need to be an expert.

If you've actually done the thing, that's enough. No credentials, no audience, no special qualifications.

  • Set your rate — and we'll help you grow it.

Anything from 50p to £5/min. We'll suggest a starting rate based on your category, and nudge you up when demand outpaces supply. You decide whether to take it.

  • We handle the awkward bits.

Stripe handles every payment, so no one's asking anyone for money. Refunds, cancellations, and identity checks are on us.

  1. 1

    Tell your story

Write 2–3 short chapters about what you've actually done. We have prompts to help you start.

  2. 2

    Set your rate

From 50p to £5 per minute. We'll suggest a starting rate based on your category — you can change it anytime.

  3. 3

    Get booked

Seekers find your profile, ask quick voice questions (£1.40), or book a live call. You only show up when you've said yes.

  4. 4

    Get paid weekly

Every minute you spend talking pays out via Stripe. No invoicing, no chasing, no awkward money conversations.

What you can earn — really.

You set your rate. Most peers start between 50p and £2/min. We'll suggest a starting rate based on your category, and nudge it up when demand outpaces supply.

Active peers typically earn around £1,200/month.

Light
5 calls × 15 min × £1/min
≈ £60/month
Steady
10 calls × 30 min × £1.50/min
≈ £360/month
ActiveRealistic target
20 calls × 30 min × £2.50/min
≈ £1,200/month
Sought-after
30 calls × 45 min × £4/min
≈ £3,200/month

How takes 20%. You keep 80%. Paid out weekly via Stripe.

The peers who earn most have something specific to offer, write clear chapters, and turn up consistently. We won't promise you'll get rich — but we'll help you charge what your time is actually worth, and we'll back the demand for what you've been through.

Prices in GBP. International peers can take bookings in their own currency once Stripe Connect onboarding is complete — Stripe handles FX automatically.

A few people who could be peers.

  • The engineer who switched from finance to tech in 2024.
  • The mum who chose formula over breastfeeding and is unapologetic about it.
  • The founder who failed her first business and figured out what to do differently.
  • The cook who lived in Tokyo for three years and learned to make proper ramen.
  • The person who moved to Lisbon on three weeks' notice.
  • The graduate who took a year out before university and doesn't regret it.

Notice the pattern: they all just did a thing. None of them are credentialed experts. That's the point.

We're not the right place for some things.

  • Not a coach. We don't sell frameworks.
  • Not a therapist. We can't help with mental health, addiction, or grief.
  • Not a financial adviser. No investment or regulated financial advice.
  • Not a lawyer. No legal advice on cases.
  • Not a doctor. No diagnosis or treatment decisions.

If you're trained in any of those, you can absolutely be a peer about your own experience — but not about treating someone else's.

Common questions

What if I don't know the answer to a question?
You say so. "I didn't deal with that part — but here's what I'd think about…" That's an honest answer and Seekers respect it.
How much do I need to share in my chapters?
Specifics work. Not life stories, not philosophy — what you actually did, what surprised you, what you'd tell someone starting from scratch. Most chapters are 200–500 words.
How is this different from coaching?
Coaches train. Peers share. You're not selling expertise — you're sharing what happened.
When do I get paid?
Stripe pays out weekly. Money in your bank within 2 working days of payout day.
Can I do this part-time?
Most peers do. Some take 1 call a week, some take 10. Set yourself to "vacation mode" whenever you need a break.
Do I need an audience or social media?
No. Most peers have neither. We help Seekers find you based on what you've done, not who you are.
Will I have to pay tax on what I earn?
You're self-employed when you peer on How — you keep 80% of every session, but you're responsible for declaring it to HMRC (UK) or the IRS (US). A few things make this easier: • Stripe gives you clean annual statements • UK: your first £1,000/year is covered by the HMRC trading allowance — no registration needed below that • US: Stripe automatically issues a 1099-K and reports to the IRS once you exceed $600/year — no work on your side • We'll nudge you in your dashboard when you're approaching either threshold, with links to the right gov.uk or IRS pages We're not tax advisers — but we won't leave you in the dark.
